I’m Tálor Hawkins, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and postpartum therapist specializing in perinatal and reproductive mental health in California. I work with teens and women navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, fertility challenges, hormonal mood changes, and emotional stress connected to reproductive health. As a postpartum therapist, I support new mothers who may be experiencing postpartum depression symptoms, postpartum anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or feeling overwhelmed after having a baby. I also work with individuals facing infertility, PCOS, and identity changes during hormonal or life transitions.

My work also includes supporting clients through reproductive transitions and offering surrogacy mental health evaluations in California for individuals and families preparing for third-party reproduction.

My Approach to Postpartum & Reproductive Mental Health Therapy

Many of the women I work with are holding a great deal quietly. They may be caring for a new baby while feeling overwhelmed by postpartum depression symptoms, anxiety, or intrusive thoughts. Others are navigating fertility challenges, hormonal mood changes, or emotional stress connected to reproductive health experiences. In therapy, we slow things down and create space to understand what you have been carrying. Together, we explore emotional patterns, identity shifts after becoming a mother, and the impact that pregnancy, birth, infertility, or hormonal transitions can have on your mental health and relationships. My approach to postpartum therapy and reproductive mental health therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded. When appropriate, I incorporate EMDR therapy to help the brain process distressing or overwhelming experiences such as birth trauma, pregnancy loss, or difficult life transitions. This can help reduce emotional intensity and support greater day-to-day stability. The goal is not only to cope, but to help you feel more connected to yourself, emotionally steady, and supported as you move through this stage of life.

Working With a Postpartum Therapist

Many new mothers begin working with a postpartum therapist after noticing emotional changes such as postpartum depression symptoms, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or feeling overwhelmed after having a baby. Therapy offers a supportive space to process identity shifts, relationship stress, or difficult birth experiences. If you are wondering what to expect when beginning therapy after baby, sessions often focus on emotional stabilization, coping skills, and helping you feel more confident and connected as you adjust to motherhood.

You are welcome to schedule a consultation to learn whether postpartum therapy feels like the right support for you.

Reproductive and life transitions can bring uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, and changes in identity.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and receive support while navigating these experiences—especially when it feels like the outside world expects you to simply keep moving forward.

You do not have to carry it alone.

If you are somewhere in this season and nothing quite has a name yet, that is often where therapy begins. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. You’re welcome to schedule a brief consultation so we can see whether working together feels like the right fit.
